WIA (Workforce Investment Act) Adult Program

The Career Resource Center provides job-seeking clients the support and direction they need to obtain appropriate career opportunities that meet their employable skills and career goals. Technology assistance, job listings and case management assistance from staff are offered.

WIA (Workforce Investment Act) Youth Program

The WIA Youth Program provides guided employment experience, mentoring, academic tutoring, and leadership opportunities for young people. Job-readiness training, vocational English, computer training, and field trips are conducted to introduce enrolled youth to institutions of higher education, employment and training opportunities, and cultural activities.

Teen Reach Program

The Teen Reach Program provides homework help, life-skill workshops and extracurricular activities for youth from 12 to 17 in an after-school setting.

Work First Program

This program serves clients receiving Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) by providing them with job-readiness training classes, subsidized work experience and subsidized job placements. The goal of this program is to move clients receiving public assistance away from dependency and towards self-sufficient employment.

Job Placement and Retention (JPR)

JPR provides employment training to help TANF clients find employment.

Title XX Employment Program

Title XX provides employment training to low-income individuals who are not receiving public assistance.

Earnfare Program

Clients who receive food stamps are able to secure subsidized employment in the community for up to 80 hours per month. These valuable experiences allow clients to gain workplace skills and prepare them to move towards permanent employment with our collaborating employers.

Employment Program Hours of Operation

The Employment Program is open from Monday to Friday, 9:00-5:00. The Teen Reach After School Program runs from 3:00-5:30 daily during the academic year.
