WIA (WORKFORCE INVESTMENT ACT) ADULT PROGRAM

The Career Resource Center provides job-seeking clients the support and direction they need to obtain appropriate career opportunities that meet their employable skills and career goals.

WIA YOUTH PROGRAM

The WIA Youth Program provides guided employment experience, academic tutoring, and leadership opportunities for young people. Job-readiness training, vocational English, computer training, and field trips introduce enrolled youth to institutions of higher education, employment and training opportunities, and cultural activities.

WORK FIRST PROGRAM

This program serves clients receiving Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) by providing them with job-readiness training classes, subsidized work experience and subsidized job placements.

JOB PLACEMENT AND RETENTION (JPR)

JPR provides employment training to help TANF clients find employment.

The Title XX Employment Program provides employment training to low-income individuals who are not receiving public assistance.

EARNFARE PROGRAM

Clients who receive food stamps are able to secure subsidized employment in the community for up to 80 hours per month. These valuable experiences allow clients to gain workplace skills.
