Asian Human Services began modestly in 1978 to serve the influx of refugees from Southeast Asia in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood. We have grown into one of the region’s largest and most comprehensive immigrant-centered organization, serving more than 26,000 people from 55 countries (including the US), with an operating budget of $11.5 million. Throughout difficult economic times, AHS has continued to earn the support of funders – public, private, and individual.
