TANF

TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) Programs – Work First, Job Placements with Retentions and Title XX Employment Programs
Funded by Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS)

These programs serve clients receiving public assistance by providing them with job readiness training classes, subsidized and unsubsidized job placements. The goal is to move customers receiving public assistance away from dependency and towards self-sufficiency.

SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program)
Funded by IDHS

Clients who receive SNAP are able to secure subsidized employment in the community for up to 80 hours per month. These valuable experiences allow customers to gain workplace skills and prepare them to move towards permanent employment with our collaborating employers.

WIA (Workforce Investment Act) Adult Program
Funded by Chicago Department of Family and Support Services (DFSS)

This program provides job search assistance and counseling for unemployed and low income Chicagoans. WIA staff provide a wide range of individualized support services to eligible customers seeking full time, self-sustaining employment. Please attend an orientation if you are interested in finding out if WIA can assist you or someone you know.

    Weekly Orientations (walk-ins welcome): Tuesday at 10:00 am and Thursday at 2:00 pm
