CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Abha Pandya joined AHS as Executive Director in 1994, and was named CEO in 2004. Under her leadership, AHS has grown from a staff of six with an annual operating budget of $270,000, to its present size and scope: an operating budget of $11.5 million in the current fiscal year, and a staff of 105. Ms. Pandya is a visible advocate for Asian and other immigrant and refugee communities in Chicago, especially in the areas of equitable distribution of resources, and access to linguistically and culturally-appropriate services.

MENTAL HEALTH
Deborah Jackson, LCSW, CADC, joined Asian Human Services in 2004. She holds a Masters degree from the Jane Addams School of Social Work at UIC, and both a clinical license and certification in drug and alcohol treatment. Ms. Jackson is energized by supporting her staff in their culturally sensitive work with clients so that clients learn to adapt, prosper and thrive in their communities.

Lesley Omary, M.D., Medical Director is a Board Certified Psychiatrist who received her Medical Doctorate from the University of Virginia. She completed an internship at Northwestern University and a psychiatry residency at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Dr. Omary has held positions at several community mental health agencies and specializes in caring for adults with chronic mental illnesses, especially refugees and immigrants with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
EMPLOYMENT SERVICES
Ivan Li started working at Asian Human Services (AHS) in July 1997. Born and raised in Hong Kong, China, he lived for eight years in Vancouver, Canada. Mr. Li, having an M.A.(Sociology) and B.A. (Criminology), has more than 10 years of successful experience directing and supervising various employment programs at AHS.

EDUCATION & ADULT LITERACY
Barth Landor joined Asian Human Services in 2000, and has directed the LEAF Program since its inception in 2001. He grew up near Cleveland and has attained degrees from the University of St. Andrews and the University of Glasgow in Scotland.

COMMUNITY HEALTH
Jing Zhang, PhD, joined Asian Human Services as Community Researcher and Project Coordinator in 2000. Dr. Zhang has served as Program Director of Community Health since 2001. She has launched many evidence-based preventative health education and outreach programs. Dr. Zhang finds satisfaction when she sees successful program implementation and quality care impact the clients and community.

FAMILY HEALTH CENTER
Muhammad W. Paracha, MD, MPH, has been with AHS since 2000, and became Clinic Director of the AHS Family Health Center in 2002. He has broad experience in public health administration and was trained as a physician. Dr. Paracha has overseen the successful design and implementation of clinical health programs targeted at AHSFHC’s diverse Asian patient population. Recently under his leadership, AHSFHC started a dental clinic to serve children and adults living on the north side of Chicago.

Ayesha Hussain, MD, MPH, Medical Director, is board-certified in Family Medicine. Dr. Hussain has worked as a family physician at ASHFHC since 2007, before being named Medical Director in February 2011. Prior to joining AHSFHC, Dr. Hussain completed her family practice residency at Loyola University Medical Center. She is multilingual in English and several Indian languages, including Hindi/Urdu, Kannada and Tamil.
AHS PASSAGES CHARTER SCHOOL
Nicole Feinberg has dedicated to her career to urban education. She holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Dominican University and a Masters Degree in Educational Administration from Concordia University. Ms. Feinberg has been part of the AHS family since 2009.
