2006 marks the 26th year of operations for AHS.  Starting with our main office in the Uptown neighborhood on Chicago's Northside in 1978, we now have sites at four different locations.  We have followed our clients wherever they have needed services.  Now with the expansion of the Asian and other immigrant populations in the Northwest and other contiguous Chicago suburbs, we are opening our first suburban office at the Palatine Opportunity Center.  We will be working in partnership with Northwest Community Hospital and other agencies located in the vicinity to provide quality health and human services to our community.

Health Prevention Education & Outreach

Health education topics on breast and cervical cancer, diabetes, heart disease, osteoporosis prevention, smoking cessation, domestic violence prevention, nutrition and fitness, and AllKids/FamilyCare.

Women's Support Group

Bilingual and bi-cultural support groups for single mothers and domestic violence victims, linking them with other needed services and educating the community about the issues of domestic violence.

Referral Services

We help educate immigrant parents about the US school system and help build strong school and family connections.

Community Health Fairs

Annual health fairs which provide health screenings, immunizations, information, and physician referrals.
