  1. Why were you interested in joining our AmeriCorps program at AHS?
    I was interested in joining the AmeriCorps program at the AHS employment office because I know how difficult and draining it can be to search for a job forever and feel like you are getting nowhere. I wanted be able to help those who were feeling hopeless.
  1. What motivates you as the WIOA Youth Employment Assistant?
    I am motivated by my clients. When they make even a small achievement, I feel like I am doing my job and I need to keep doing it. 
  1. What’s your favorite thing about living in Chicago?
    I love that I can do anything in Chicago. I go from helping people at work, to kickboxing, to studying improv, all in one night! 
  1. If you could describe your AmeriCorps experience so far in one word or phrase, what would it be?
    Growth 
  1. What impact do you hope to make in your service?
    I hope to make all of my clients feel like they can do more. 
  1. What impact do the people you serve have on you?
    They show me that the little things matter the most sometimes.
  1. What’s an AmeriCorps memory that you’ll hold onto?
    AmeriCorps opening day and meeting President Lincoln. 
  1. What are you most proud of so far in your service?
    I am proud of my clients. 
  1. Where do you see yourself post-AmeriCorps?
    I see myself serving my community post-service. I hope to bring my goal to make change to every job after this.

  1. If you could master one skill you don’t have right now, what would it be?
    I would love to be a great dancer.
  2. Where would you most like to travel to?
    Thailand (only four months away!)
