  1. Isis AaronWhy were you interested in returning to our AmeriCorps program for a 2nd year?
    My first year of service with AmeriCorps was a profound experience that catapulted me into discovering my passion for working with the refugee, immigrant, and underserved community. I was happy to have that opportunity again with a second year of service.
  1. What motivates you as an Early Childhood Assistant?
    Witnessing the social, intellectual, and emotional growth of the students as each day passes motivates me the most as an Early Childhood Assistant.
  1. If you could describe your AmeriCorps experience so far in one word or phrase, what would it be?
    Enlightening
  1. What do you hope to give to the children you serve?
    I hope to provide a nurturing, compassionate presence that is available to answer any questions their inquisitive minds might have.
  1. What impact do the children you serve have on you?
    The children have filled my heart with so much love. They have made me more patient and helped me remember to live in the moment and embrace each day.
  1. What are you most proud of over the last year and a half of service?
    I am the most proud of the positive relationships I’ve been able to build with both my students and their parents.

    I would love to travel around and explore the countries of Africa.
